FIA Formula E in Montreal

ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport at the Season Finale in Canada

Formula E season finale in Canada: This coming weekend (July 29/30), the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport team will fight for the title in the center of the city of Montreal.

After ten of twelve races, the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport team has a good position from which to fight for the drivers’ title. Thanks to his six podium results this season, the Brazilian Lucas di Grassi occupies second on the table, just ten points off the lead. His teammate Daniel Abt is ninth, whilst in the team rankings ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport is second.

The venue for the final two races is Montreal. The Canadian city will host a Formula E event for the first time – and on two consecutive days: on Saturday (July 29) as well as Sunday (July 30), the innovative racing series will provide the ‘electro spirit’ on the Montreal Formula E Street Circuit in the center of the city, as opposed to the ‘Circuit Gilles Villeneuve’ Formula 1 race track. Environmentally friendly mobility takes on great value in road transport as well. In the state of Québec, for example, greenhouse emissions are to be reduced by 20 percent from 1990 to 2020 through the subsidization of electric vehicles, amongst other things. Montreal is also the most bicycle-friendly city in North America.

Schaeffler, a world-wide automotive and industrial supplier, develops and manufactures roller bearings and component parts for the automotive industry at the Stratford location, just 700 kilometers from Montreal. A sales partner is located in Montreal with Schaeffler Canada Inc.

Free practice, qualifying and race within just a few hours – Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt will complete this schedule twice in Montreal. The action gets underway on Saturday, July 29, and on Sunday, July 30, at 8.00 a.m. local time, whilst the races begin at 4.00 p.m.
