The PSG (Parallel Shift Gearbox) is a double-clutch gearbox and comprises two part gears, divided into even and odd gears, and a double-clutch. During shifting, the torque is continually passed from one clutch to the other. The result is superb shifting comfort which can be compared with that of an automatic torque converter. The fuel consumption is similarly low to that of the ASG.
